How to Play

Tic-Tac-Toe

Tic-Tac-Toe is a two-player game played on a 3×3 grid. Players take turns placing X or O in an empty space. The first player to make a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of three matching symbols wins. If every space is filled without a winning line, the game ends in a draw. For a stronger opening, take the center or a corner when available, and watch for a chance to block your opponent.

Dots n Lines

Dots n Lines begins with a grid of dots. Players alternate drawing one horizontal or vertical line between adjacent dots that are not already connected. Completing the fourth side of a 1×1 box earns a point, and that player takes another turn. Play ends when no more lines can be drawn; the player with the higher score wins. Look ahead before completing a box, as your move may give the other player a chance to claim nearby squares.

2048

In 2048, numbered tiles move across a grid. When two tiles with the same number meet, they combine into a tile with their values added together. The usual goal is to create a tile marked 2048. Try to keep larger tiles near one side of the board and leave space for new tiles; crowded grids can limit your next moves.

Ludo and Snakes and Ladders

Ludo is a turn-based board game in which players move their pieces around a route. Exact rules can vary, so follow the instructions shown in the game. In Snakes and Ladders, players advance along numbered spaces, climbing ladders and moving back when they land on snakes. Since movement depends on chance, these games are well suited to relaxed play and taking turns.

Sudoku

Sudoku is a number-placement puzzle. In a standard 9×9 puzzle, each row, column, and 3×3 section must contain the digits 1 through 9 without repeats. Start with spaces that have only one possible number, and use pencil marks or notes if the game provides them.

Choose a Board Game for Your Next Break

These board games range from quick two-player rounds to solo number challenges. Pick Tic-Tac-Toe or Dots n Lines for turn-based play, try 2048 or Sudoku for a focused puzzle, or choose Ludo and Snakes and Ladders for a casual game. Single-player and local multiplayer modes make it easy to find an option that suits the moment.
