Night Driver

Night Driver puts you behind the wheel of a sports car for nighttime street-racing challenges. Drive through a city after dark, complete tasks, perform stunts, and try to evade law enforcement. Learning the controls before you start can help you steer, brake, and manage the camera more confidently during each run.

What to Expect in Night Driver

The game focuses on driving challenges and street-racing action. You begin with a sports vehicle and take on different tasks on the city roads. Stunts are another way to demonstrate your driving ability, while avoiding law enforcement adds pressure to your runs.

As you progress, you can acquire additional vehicles that are more powerful and faster. Getting familiar with your current car before moving on can make it easier to adapt to a new vehicle’s speed and handling. Use open stretches of road to get comfortable with steering and braking before attempting more demanding maneuvers.

Night Driver Controls

Use the keyboard and mouse to control the car, adjust your view, and access the menu. The nitro control becomes available from the third vehicle.

  • W: Accelerate
  • S: Brake or reverse
  • A: Turn left
  • D: Turn right
  • Space: Use the handbrake
  • F: Use nitro, available from the third vehicle
  • M: Enlarge the map
  • L/K: Operate the lights
  • I: Start or stop the engine
  • C: Switch the camera view
  • Mouse: Rotate the camera
  • ESC/TAB: Open the menu

Practical Driving Tips

For more controlled turns, ease off the accelerator before steering and use the brake when you need to reduce speed. The handbrake is available for sharper maneuvers, but it can make the car harder to control, so try it when you have room to recover. If the road or vehicle is difficult to judge from your current angle, use the camera controls to find a view that gives you a clearer sense of direction.

Check the enlarged map when you need a better overview of your route. The lights can also be operated using the listed keys, which may help you manage visibility during nighttime driving. Since nitro is only available from the third vehicle, become comfortable with the standard acceleration and braking controls before relying on it.

Build Your Street-Racing Skills

Night Driver combines nighttime driving, tasks, stunts, and vehicle progression. Start by learning the controls, then focus on steering smoothly and choosing when to brake or use the handbrake. As you unlock faster, more powerful vehicles, adjust your driving to suit the car and use the map and camera controls to stay oriented.
